This week on The Kaito and Red Show, Red is flying solo once again while Kaito continues to recover from a bacterial infection. Thankfully, he should be back next episode. In the meantime, Red wrapped up Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon, making this the perfect opportunity to dedicate an entire segment to Sega's Game Boy Advance remake of the classic tactical RPG.
We'll dive into the game's story and premise, break down its classes, compare the remake to the original Shining Force, and discuss what the game does well, where it shows its age, and who would enjoy it today. After spending dozens of hours with the game, Red shares his thoughts on why this retro strategy RPG remains such a fascinating experience.
